Martin has worked for just over a month in December for a SA Holsteins dairy farm, helping out with cattle handling, chain-sawing, garden work, carting hay with the tractor and other general farm duties. Has a positive recommendation from this employer, and this employer can be contacted if required.

Raised on a farm - his mother is a horse breeder raising swedish warmbloods.
He has diploma qualifications for farm and zoo animals.  Has worked on two beef properties, one his fathers, a bull breeder with 430 bulls for 1.5 yrs and the other a simmental beef grower and forestry enterprise (4+ yrs)
He completed a work experience internship at a zoo. Plans a career in farming, (beef or sheep) so very keen to build his experience in these areas.
Certified chainsaw operator, license for animal cars, injections (including putting down).
A beginner / intermediate horse rider, he rode up to age 11, but grew up mostly doing groundwork rather than riding, but can ride English style.

Can drive manual cars, (2 yrs), tractors since age 14 and a wheel loader since age 19. Also has a chainsaw certificate.
Speaks fairly good English. A quiet, considered manner, listens carefully and takes a careful approach to things.
Fit, a keen soccer goalkeeper. Good fitness, wiry and farm fit. Used to farm and outside work.

Aims while in Australia are to improve his English, develop some further independence and confidence and gain some useful experience for his career.

Hoping for: All rounder general farm work in any setting. Keen on beef and or sheep, hopefully in a family environment, for 3-6 months.
