407 TRAINING VISAS
This visa allows overseas visitors to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve skills for work, in tertiary study, in a field of expertise or in a professional development training program in Australia. This requires sponsorship and creation of personalised structured training programme for the trainee. The training programme will be delivered in your workplace, typically lasting for 12 months. |

The trainee will be sponsored, either by VisitOz or by the employer directly.
This process can take up to 3 months to arrange, so trainee positions should be planned in advance.
VisitOz can assist with the planning, set up, administration and monitoring of training plans.
VisitOz also offers full back up and support to the employer and the trainee throughout the workplace training period.
FIRST STEPS
- The sponsor and employer will be jointly be responsible for creating and agreeing a personalised training programme that will be presented as part of the participant's 407 training visa application.
- This will allow the trainee to gain practical hands-on on experience of all aspects of operations through the annual cycles of the employer / trainer host's business operations.
- The structured training plan will be delivered and monitored by the sponsor / employer.
