Ruth is a degree in agricultural business management.
She comes from a family dairy farm (350 head) in Staffordshire UK, and plans a career in agriculture / science / health.
Besides been brought up on the family farm she has worked part-time and full-time in dairy farms for the last six years.
While studying at University she had a customer service administrator role in an agricultural genetics company .
She has also travelled to New Zealand , working for 4 months looking after 400 replacement calves near Rotorua
In Australia on her first working holiday Visa she worked on a farm receiving school group visits, and also fruit picking/harvest role, as well as admin and receptionist roles for a school in Townsville.
Skills
In addition to her degree she has completed artificial insemination training and cow behavioural signals training.
Novice horse rider - just some basic riding experience as a young child.
Full driving licence for six years. Confident and experienced driver.
Experience of several farm vehicles including farm buggy (Polaris), small older tractors (Kubota, Ford, Zetor) for doing basic dairy related duties (scraping sheds, feeding out et cetera) and loaders/teller and is moving bales and lifting animals etc.
Some practical fencing experience, fixing up and repairing fences on the farm at home
A good cook, used to cooking for family and friends, as well as assisting with the school group students catering. Some childcare experience, she has a toddler niece and is also godparent to another toddler.

In her spare time she enjoys dog walking, gym and fitness, hiking, swimming,
