EXPERIENCED HANDS ON FARM GIRL AND AGRONOMIST,
PIG, DAIRY, VEGETABLE, BULL BREEDING EXPERIENCE, TRACTOR + IMPLEMENT OPERATION AND VERY KEEN HORSEWOMAN. KEEN FOR ALL OR ANY OF HORSE / CATTLE / CROP & MACHINERY WORK.
AVAILABLE FOR 4 MONTHS.
STORY SO FAR:
Susie is from central Germany. She did 3 years study / vocational training as a farmer, then worked for a year in NZ on a 1500 head dairy farm near Christchurch, 1 year on her family’s farm (small dairy and 300ha of vegetables (cabbages, salads, rocket)
She also completed 2 years further training to become a state certified agronomist, and the last 5 years she has been herd managing / running her family farm, with 140 dairy cows, 650 fattening pigs and 115 bulls.
RELEVANT SKILLS:
A keen horsewoman, she has ridden since age 4, riding English regularly at riding school up to age 19. Competed in jumping at local level (115cm) Rides horses of many types, educating green horses for jumping etc.
Full driving licence, 10 yrs. Loads of tractor experience, mostly Fendt, with a range of various implements..
PERSONALITY ATTRIBUTES AND INTERESTS:
Diligent and focused, serious professional character. Fair to good English. Understands well. Calm, capable manner.. Good cook, used to looking after 3 nephews all under 4 yo.
Fit, used to physical work outside and in all weathers. 160cm & 60kg
HOPING FOR: Keen to experience new things on AUS farms; would love to experience a bit of jackaroo, sheep shearing and other iconic things along the way, wherever possible.
Main aim is to experience cattle / horse work if possible, when the season is right.
Also keen on dairy and sport horse work.
