Former Singapore Air Force master Sergeant, Experienced road and dirt bike user, fit, strong and committed, competent man with excellent English.
Seeking cattle station or any other general farm work opportunity.
Waran studied computer engineering. For 3 1/2 years at university. He then joined the Singapore Air Force in the ground to air defence section in 2011 finishing his career as a specialist Master Sergeant. Alongside this he also volunteered as a wildlife rescue officer In Singapore since 2016.
He has always aspired to the opportunity to experience cattle station life and so has seized this opportunity while he is still able to visit Australia with working holiday visa. He understands that he has zero immediately relevant experience however he's ready to commit 100% to learning and applying himself to the task of becoming useful in this environment. We are sure he will learn very quickly. He is especially keen to learn how to ride horses in a cattle station environment.
Loves the open natural space of Australia compared to the urbanised nature of Singapore.
WORK IN AUS:
Waran has been working for 2 months approx. on a cattle station near Richmond, QLD, before taking an opportunity in Melbourne for the last 3 months. NB He will receive a positive reference from the employer.
In Melbourne he has been working for a fish farm, and live fish delivery driver.
OTHER
Full driving licence with manual experience for 10 years.
Additionally, experience of. Singapore licence for Rigid body trucks, forklift, and (200 hours+) Has a full motorbike licence, used to riding large on and off road bikes for more than 10 years. Very hands on in his 1000cc bike - some general mechanical experience.
Outdoor person loves hiking, cycling, swimming, and used to play cricket - loves the sport.
CPR & First aid trained. Great interest in wildlife/nature. Good swimmer. 183cm & 82kg
Hopes to find an opportunity to be part of the team on a cattle station, and take the chance to learn all aspects, including horse riding in due course.
