The Toft Endurance business is a breeding, training and educating arabian horses for the endurance industry, focussing on exporting endurance horses to the rest of the world. The owner, Peter Toft is from a very well known and well established horse breeding family. (see website for one of his siblings, Toft Arabians)
All work is centred around the horses. We are a breeding, training and conditioning facility for endurance horses. Marketing to overseas mainly. Can offer advanced training to suitable riders.
Typical duties
For strong riders a chance to ride less educated horses, for others, to exercise horses.
Also ongoing general farm work and maintenance work.
Jobs / tasks depend from person to person, depending on skill / attitude / productivity.
The Team:
Requires horse riders, stable and cleaning roles as well as a maintenance/gardener/labourer.
Living
Accommodation and food provided on site.
Travel
Toft Arabians is approx 65km from central Brisbane. By train from Brisbane to Rosewood.
By bus from Brisbane to Marburg.
Working conditions and Pay
Award wages, or better, plus potential bonus structure based on time in the role and commitment.
Split shifts, typically approx 0530-1100, then 1500-1900
Working as part of a team of up to 10 people, often including other working holiday makers.
