general information
Thoroughbred Stud / Performance Horses
Our property spans 53 acres in Warragul, Gippsland (VIC) and operates as a dedicated equestrian facility specialising in the starting and education of young performance horses, predominantly Warmbloods. We focus on correct foundations, re education, and the training of horses for dressage.
We are home to two resident stallions—one retired and one currently training at PSG level whilst actively standing at stud. Our services also include breeding, foaling down, weanling care, yearling preparation, and the management of a large volume of sale horses on behalf of valued clients.
We are a small, family run business and take great pride in the fact that much of our work comes from word of mouth referrals and repeat clients. While our farm is still very much a work in progress and can feel like organised chaos at times, it is a supportive, hands on environment filled with teamwork, learning opportunities, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Typical duties
This role involves all aspects of general horse husbandry and day to day farm operations. Duties include feeding and caring for horses, mucking out stables, catching and handling horses, hosing off, tacking up, and riding where appropriate. The role also requires preparing and making feeds, administering medications when required, and assisting with general farm maintenance such as mowing, planting and establishing new gardens, and supporting routine farming practices.
This is a hands on position suited to someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and working in an active equestrian environment.
Pay rate and Accommodation
A competitive remuneration package is offered, with additional benefits and performance based incentives available for the right applicant. We value commitment, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, and we are happy to invest in someone who becomes a valued part of our team.
The position includes accommodation and use of a vehicle, making it an excellent opportunity for a visa holder or international applicant looking for stability, practical experience, and genuine support while living and working in Australia.
