Sarah Hughes has 5 children under 7 (in 2023) , and a 5th child is on the way. (Jan 2023)
Seeking a positive and highly energetic person to assist with cooking , gardening and childcare on large family cattle station in remote NT. Preferably we would like someone to stay 3-6 months minimum. Candidate must have good English and plenty of energy.
This is a great opportunity to experience the beautiful outback with an adventurous family and generous conditions.
Experience with pre-school learning, piano, music, singing etc, an advantage.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Beef Cattle, Over 1 million acres, remote family run cattle station. Riveren Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia.
Situated approximately 84 kilometres (52 mi) north west of Lajamanu and 83 kilometres (52 mi) south west of Daguragu in the Victoria River district, the property was originally part of Inverway Station, which was carved up into Inverway, Bunda and Riveren Stations.[1] All of the holdings are situated in the headwaters of the Victoria River.[2] The property shares a boundary with Inverway to the east, Limbunya Station to the north, Birrindudu to the south and the Daguragu Aboriginal Land Trust to the east.[3]
The country is a mix of black soil plains covered with pastures of Mitchell grass, Queensland blue and silky brown top grasses. The red dirt country supports stands of spinifex.[4]
The station occupies an area of 3,016 square kilometres (1,164 sq mi),[5] and in 2012 was carrying a mixed herd of approximately 23,000 cattle.
Currently carrying around 40,000 cattle, and transitioning to Wagyu fine beef production.

A very remote Northern Territory station. Travel to Darwin, then Katherine, and possibly Kununurra, and collection from there. (a 400km drive)
