Patrick has spent 2.5 years in the Dutch Navy whilst in the Netherlands, working in the control and sonar systems of submarines. He has also worked in hotels in the Caribbean for 1.5 years, in a paper factory for 1 year, and for 1 year for a large car rental company where he was their hands-on auto mechanic.
WORK IN AUS: Patrick first came to VisitOz Workers in 2018 and returned in 2022.
He has worked on various farms here in AUS, including several months working as all rounder / assistant at our training farm, on a thoroughbred nursery for 2 months, and several other general farm work roles here in AUS on this trip and back in 2018. Now experienced with a range of livestock duties, farm vehicles, general farm work and also working with and encouraging young staff.
In particular in 2022 he spent the last 5 months working on a large TB horse breeding and training property in NSW. During this time he was assisting with all daily tasks including lots of leading horses, putting them onto walking machines, helping farriers and vets, feeding and cleaning horses and stables and getting them ready to be ridden. He has achieved a lot in this job especially considering he had no horse experience
BACK HOME:A good driver, competent on a motorbike (he has owned a road bike) can operate forklifts and is currently licensed to drive trucks. Also expereince of utes, tractors, side by side, dirt bikes.
Capable around horses, handling, ground and stable work, and also fair riding skills
Dynamic, fit and active, confident and intelligent. Good skills as a leader of younger workers.
Very good English as second language, full driver’s license, non-smoker.
An adaptable, dependable and capable worker. 1m83;84kg
Hopes for work with racehorses, or on a small cattle station , be part of a friendly team, getting new knowledge and skills.
