geNeral information
Vander Have Grazing Company operates a family-owned progressive beef enterprise with a herd size of 8,000 to 9,000 head, primarily consisting of Santa Gertrudis crossed with Angus. The breeding segment includes 2,000 head, while the backgrounding segment manages 5,500-6,500 head. We oversee six holdings, all situated within 70 kilometres of each other, covering a total area of 31,450 hectares.

The enterprise has implemented a rotational grazing system and utilises two-wheeled motorbikes and horses, as well as heli mustering and well-trained working dogs when necessary. A strong emphasis is placed on low-stress stock handling to ensure the herd's psychological well-being is maintained.

Our ethos is ‘Job Done Right’; we commit the necessary resources to empower our team to perform tasks effectively.

Living arrangements, accommodation and food,
Accommodation is located on the main block, which spans 5,060 hectares. It is situated 80 km west of Mundubbera, a rural town that provides good amenities, including a supermarket, a pub, and a swimming pool.
The more significant centre of Chinchilla is 150 km away, where you can access all major amenities and services.
Phone signal is reliable at the house and shed but is patchy whilst out in the paddock.

Travel arrangement
Bus services run to and from Mundubbera to various larger towns.

Other workers and family in or around the workplace
We employee 5-7 full time staff at any one given time. Core base of these people are long standing employees. We deeply value the team as close-knit crew given that we work and live in the same community.
