Stud farm - breeding and foaling
Mullaglass Stud in scone NSW are seeking a general stud hand for immediate start.
Duties will include feeding, helping with medications, helping with vet work, cleaning stables and yards, moving horses around the farm. We are foaling around 140 mares and will breed close to 200 so plenty of opportunities to experience all that the thoroughbred breeding industry involves.

Brood mare farm, foaling and rebreeding mares. Yearling prep in December, opportunity to go to the sales with the horses.
Kim and Richard own the farm, Richard is also a vet so some opportunity exists for involvement with that type of work. Employ staff permanently but require extra short term help during (August to December).
250 horses on the property at present.
Typical duties
General horse husbandry, studhand work, requires horse handling skills.
Also sometimes looking for au pair to live with them and help look after their young daughter.
The Team:
Team of 6 people
Living
Shared accommodation in a house in Scone, 10 minutes drive. Use of a car.
Travel
Travel to Scone, 3ookm approx North of Sydney.
hours train ride to Scone. 1 hour approx from Newcastle, and the coast.
Working conditions and Pay
8 hour day, every 2nd weekend off. Split shifts at weekends. (3 hours am and 2 hours pm)
Award pay.
