​Marta, 28, Female, Portugal
A hands on hard worker, physical, fit and sporty, Masters degree in Marine biology. 11 months shearing shed hand work, keen for any general farm work, ideally cattle, but open for anything.
Aiming for 6 months work, ideally VIC or TAS, keen for any farm role, but keen to work with cattle if possible, to learn something new.
 
WORK IN AUS:
Marta has completed 11 months as a penner up, shed hand and a presser as part of a shearing crew in NSW. Positive reference available.
 
STORY SO FAR:
Marta has a degree and Masters in Marine Biology.
Since graduating in 2018 she has been working constantly in different jobs - she has worked for 1 year in a specialist bakery, and for 3 months seasonal vegetable picking harvest. She worked for 7 months as an au pair in Wicklow, Ireland, 5 months as an all rounder at a hotel in N Yorkshire, England,  3 months as a tutor for younger Uni students, 5 months as a naturalist working with cetaceans (whales etc) and sea birds, and 7 months further work as a waitress before coming to Australia.
 
She has been involved with various volunteer projects, playing football and rugby at university, captaining five a side football, and coaching children's futsal teams, and is a volunteer member of the Portuguese fire department.
 
RELEVANT SKILLS:
Experienced shearing shed hand (11 months in total) and enjoys working with dogs and puppies too.  Keen beginner level recreational horse rider.
​Full driving licence (manual) 10 years. 

 
PERSONALITY ATTRIBUTES AND INTERESTS:
Well mannered, professional, sociable and friendly, Easy to get on with. Excellent English. Experienced in childcare from her au pair work in Ireland. Competent cook for friends and family, and quite happy to assist with cooking etc when required.
PADI open water diving course.
Enjoys physical work, willing to get stuck in. hands on, fit and strong. Sporty, and active. Works well in a team. 166 cm 68 kg
