Marije has worked for nearly 5 months on a large cattle station near Clermont.
Gained experience of low stress stock handling, mustering, tagging and vaccinating cattle, yard work, fencing, etc, Operating the bobcat, driving the tractor and 4-Wheeler, prepping paddocks and fencing, also taking care of the veggie garden and other plants.
Marije plans to study to become a nurse.
Back at home she has worked 2 years p/t in a restaurant and 14 months p/t in a bookstore, while completing school. Besides those jobs, have worked since age 12 to 18 at a stables in the Netherlands called Kaaidyksterstable, a dressage breeding stable, and has experience of foaling, looking after and assisting with training of young horses.
Her Uncle has a 250 head dairy, and her grandfather 80 sheep where she has helped out regularly in holidays / weekends etc. Loves the farm / outdoor life.
Advanced horse rider - passionate about horses. Started riding when she was 3. Mostly focused on dressage, but some jumping, bareback and trail riding to switch things up. Occasional competitor in local competitions. Typically spends 6+ hours per week at the stable for the last 5 years. Very interested to learn and ride other styles, disciplines, incl. western, here in AUS and would really like to work with horses in some form.
Full driver's licence recently gained. Confident driver.
Well mannered, bright, confident, smiley. Fit, and active. Has travelled in the US and Europe.
Hoping for: Hoping for 2nd visa qualifying work, any general farm work, ideally with horses.
