Cattle Station and Community Store
Cattle station with a variety of other tourist activities including a store and camping. The station carries approx 5,000 cattle, so there is frequently lots of cattle, cattle yard and general property duties as well.
The cattle station and community store are located in a rugged remote picturesque area north of Hart’s Range. Presently there is terrible drought conditions, hardly any surface water left, making the bore run daily for 6 or more hours . The community it’s storeisopen 7 days per week, 9:00 am up until 5:00 pm . It operates same as roadhouse fuel, takeaway , large variety goods.
There is cleaning , food handling and preparation, guest accomodation to be serviced and maintenance on goi ng, In ground pool to be cleaned and managed, feeding milk supplements and hay out to horses, weaners and to poddy calves usually 20 - 100 depending on the seasons, station cleaning, stock packing , cleaning vehicles, around homestead , gardening, Preferrably none Smokers, own your own transport, must have very good English, must present clean tidy and neat with clean clothes every day, no preexisting medical conditions can be considered due to extreme isolated location, retail experience, ideally good work history, ideally has trade qualifications, best suited to 24 plus age groups but not mandatory,fair generous employers, good work conditions, 2 nd year Visa can be achieved workers to agree to national police / criminal check . Must sign workplace agreement within 2 days of arriving.

Staff required to help on our cattle station and 1 person to help with our community store.

Living
Fully furnished comfortable fully air conditioned house , landline telephone provided as no mobile coverage, WIFI provided, power, food, meat, Fruit & vege, No station vehicles provided for private or personal use of workers, prefer workers to have their own vehicles non smokers are preferred, house must be kept clean and tidy at all times, if workers do not keep the No 2 house clean fresh and tidy, money to pay for cleaning will be deducted from their wages.
Usually 2 other workers, aboriginal stockmen, contract musterers, property owner / manager , family ,
6 moths of the year are hot, dry and very dusty , April to end of September normally busy , cattle work, travellers, property improvement projects
Travel
280km North of Alice Springs. Travel to Alice Springs, and bus or can be collected from there.
Working conditions and Pay
Excellent , full accommodation package valued @ $300 per week per worker plus day rate @$100 pd less 15% tax plus superannuation contributions . 4 week pay rate can be renegotiated after end of probation period.
