Beef, Cattle Grazing.
Logan Creek Station is a cattle property between Clermont and Moranbah. We have approximately 4500 Brahman and Droughtmaster cross cattle with some Angus cows.
We breed and fatten cattle. Our cattle work is done with horses so employees need to be competent on a horse.
The job involves cattle work and general station maintenance - fencing. We need about 3 stockpeople for the season - about 10 to 11 months. We employ a waterman, cook/gardener,3 stockpeople and a girl friday. This is a family owned business.
Bob works the cattle and I do the bookwork. Our 3 daughters run properties nearby.
We typically need stockpeople who are competent horse riders.
They also need to be practically minded and willing to do a range of other tasks such as fencing, maintenance, gardening and sometimes household duties as situations require.
Some cattle work experience would be preferable.
Horse (riders), Cook/Gardener.
Living
This is a live in situation. Accommodation and meals are provided. The quarters are ensuited. Phone signal is available at the quarters but does not cover the whole property. Internet is not provided.
Travel
We are situated on the highway. Buses are available to Clermont and Moranbah. Moranbah has an airport.
Working conditions and Pay
This is a fulltime position in that we need people for the season - 10 to 11 months.
The pay is as specified by Fair Work Australia's pastoral Award 2020 and is for 10 hour days.
