Limitless Station / Tim Boland
Current role
stablehands & yard workers across 3 farms focused on performance horses.
Typical duties
All aspects of day to day care of the horses, including stable / stall cleaning / mucking out, exercising, feeding and moving horses around the property as the days activities require. Start 5 or 6 am, typically working with horses in the morning, a longish break in the middle of the day, and doing more general farm work in the afternoons. But this can vary from week to week. Often there is the opportunity to focus / work more with horses or more on the general farm work.
Working conditions and payrate
We start people in the first 2 weeks as a trial . We pay the award rate per week and provide accommodation . Generally employment is casual, but full time positions can be available after the trial period. Typically approx 40 hours per week, but more can be available for productive and efficient workers. If you want more hours, then this can be arranged so long as you are hard working and efficient. After this 2 week period we negotiate directly with the person a pay package that reflects the experience and capabilities. Please note this is not valid for 2nd visa, however it represents an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, well organised environment, to build up skills and experience, useful for a 2nd visa job afterwards if needs be. Also a great way to save some good money. Approx 20 workers across the 3 farms, with several in the shared accommodation.
Living and accommodation
Excellent accomodation provided, and is charged at $300 per week, deducted from wages. This is for good quality accommodation with a pool which is serviced by our housekeeper who looks after the staff houses, making it easier to work productively. There are several houses. We have an on site swimming pool at the racing farm. We have Foxtel TV at the other . Every effort is made for a nice homely environment. There is a complete kitchen but food and cooking is not provided. We are 5 minutes from a train station and a major shopping centre.
Location and travel
Approx 100km North of Sydney. Regular trains from Sydney (approx 2 hours) to Wyong, then call a cab from Wyong for the short trip to the farm.
Postcode valid for 2nd visaYES - NORTHERN AND REMOTE
