We have a great little team – but are one short temporarily.
The new staff member does not have to have any specific experience – just a general physical fitness & not worried about getting dirty.
The job would be 37hr/wk at award casual rates $28/hr
Accommodation is available if needed – a shared house with the two Piggery lads; own room & bathroom for $70/w

GENERAL INFO

Cropping and 650 sow piggery, pig breeding and weaning units, lucerne hay and silage production, pulses and grain and cattle production.
Typical duties
General duties are –
• Maintaining routine animal health checks & environment maintenance for the well being of the pigs
• Clean accommodation pens, fittings & equipment
• Effluent disposal
• Move, draft, weigh
• Care for sick or injured
• Assis farrowing sows & piglets
• Feeding, & feeding adjustments
• Docking tails
• Possibly administering vaccines/ other medicines once competent
Hours range from 5.30am – 6.30am beginnings (depending on the days tasks) & finish 3.30pm/ 4.30pm, some weekend work is required, as we are a small team.
Living
No meals or food provided.
No phone or internet available.
No vehicle available.
8 kms to nearby town.
2 days off a week (negotiable).
