Career Farm girl with tractor, horse and dairy experience. Planning to study as a large animal vet.
Loves the Ag lifestyle, keen to experience all parts of Aus Ag work. Also a keen shooter; loves hunting. Fair English.
Lena is from a farm on the very north west coast of Germany.
She has been brought up on a working farm; will definitely live her life in farming. Has qualified for university and may study as a large animal vet.
Her family has a small 120 head dairy farm. She has 2 jerseys 'Josie and Frida' which are her own animals.
She has worked on this and other farms, around schooling, since age 12. This includes laying chickens, dairy cows (she took responsibility for hoofcare) and also ongoing seasonal work as a contractor tractor driver. She has also completed various contractor roles as a tractor driver.
She is also a very keen huntress and a good shooter, with rifle and shotgun. Very keen to experience hunting here in in Aus.
Horses;: riding lessons (dressage), intermediate horse rider, has ridden all her life, owned a share horse age 10-14. Mainly dressage and hacking. Looking forward to learning western riding.
"Very good" experienced tractor driver, including various contracting roles making sileage, harvest, chaser bin, mowing etc, many years of 125cc bike driving. Used to being around the farm environment. A little bit of mechanical skills and has done welding before.
Other hobbies: playing piano, going to gym, painting and farm activities.
Smiley, strong, used to and enjoys physical work.
Fair English – she knows it needs to be better but understands well and can make herself understood.
Hoping for: Wants to go to the deepest outback to gain experience.
Aims to experience all aspects of Australian faming during her time here; dairy, beef cattle (with horses) and also tractor machinery roles. Available for 3-4 months initially. from 14/08/2023
