We are a small horse farm and receive workaway and wwoofers. They ride our horses, work with the young ones and help with gardening and cooking.
We can provide accommodation, good food and a beautiful location. We cannot pay that amount of money quoted for person(s )for effectively having a holiday with us.
If you have any horse girls or couples that cannot find placement, we are happy to take them until they can find a paid position.
We also take the girls/couples on outings and short holidays. The person(s) that come here )good riders) can also go to competitions. We pay for all entries, fees, accommodation and food during the events.
This is a great deal for someone that is a showjumper, eventer or dressage person.
Fernances Creek Farm is located in the Lower Hunter Valley approximately one hour north-west of Sydney. We breed a northern European horse called the Haflinger , and have two stallions and many mare lines. The horses are used for a range of purposes that include, pleasure riding and competitive mounts. We have several young horses now being trained as eventers and show jumpers. Haflingers are known for their kind nature, easy going attitude and suitability for all disciplines.
Fernances Creek Farm also offers a full cross country training course and a show jumping arena to instructors and their students, pony clubs and individuals. In addition, we offer our club house with barbeque facilities, seating and a nice place to cool off or warm up.
We also have two acres of Sangiovese - Brunello grapes planted on the property. The “Old Stone Wall” was our first vintage, bottled in 2007. Our second 2008 vintage is also available.
Fernances Creek also has a show jumping and cross country course which is constantly being updated. The club house is currently undergoing renovations and will be ready by July 2014.
