Farm hand / general assistant on a small cattle property
This is a volunteer role, but provides a perfect opportunity for a farm work beginner to become familiar with beef cattle work, and use of utes, bikes, quads and other day to day routines such as water supply and fencing, as well as helping and being part of family routines.
Ettiewyn is a family cattle property about 3 hours north west of Brisbane.
We are the Pennell family, Richard and Belinda and our 20 year old twin sons Tom and Cooper.
We have 3 dogs, 2 horses and 450 cattle. We use motorbikes and utes for the cattle work.
We are currently feeding some cattle and need help with daily tasks such as grain mixing, feeding, fencing, checking water, monitoring cattle, cattle yard work, general labour and some domestic duties. It is very busy here as it gets drier.
Accommodation and food is provided with the family.
