Cattle station, 17,500 acre cattle property, 3,000 cattle. A busy full on place.
Typical duties
All rounders required.
All station duties, including lick, water runs, moving cattle (they are rotated between paddocks), putting out lick bags, molasses. Operating in buggies, quads, some work on horses, frequent use of UHF radios so must have clearly spoken English.
Also gardening and any general tasks around the homestead.
The Team:
Team is made up ofJohn and Meg (managers) and various other workers (some older) who help out regularly or on occasion.
Meg has children who are away at boarding school.
Living
Accommodation includes a main house, a donga for workers accommodation.
Self catering option, and also opportunities to eat with the crew.
Meg also has a house in Clermont which can be used at weekends.
Travel
East Top is 160km NW from Clermont town, down a pretty rough road.
Nearest towns are Clermont (160km) and also Emerald and Rockhampton.
Normally can be collected from Clermont or from Emerald.
Travel is bus from Rockhampton to Emerald.
