Dairy, beef and sheep farm hand (2 required)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Dakota Pastoral is a busy and friendly mixed farm in Victoria, 3 hours North of Melbourne. 
It is family owned and run. 

Dairy Cattle, Beef Cattle, Merino Sheep, Oats Grown. 5000 acres.
5000 acres, 900 Friesian cow herd, 2500 ewes
Workers live and work with our family. 

General work milking, feeding and moving stock, minimal work with crops.
Other duties: weed control, fencing, general farm work.
2 days / week off and otherwise by arrangement.

Seasonal work requirements:
Calving in Spring and autumn, shearing in September, irrigation August to May
-calving spring and autumn
-shearing September
-irrigation Aug to may

normally employ 6 to 10 staff
consistent work thru the 12 months

Typical duties
General farm hand
Droving
Cleaning
Milking
Feeding
Friendly team of 10 to 15 people
Shared accommodation on property
Regular days off

Living and Travel
Nearest Doctor and Hospital at Kerang, 24km
Train or bus from Melbourne to Kerang


Pay Information
Approx 50 hour week. Award wages.
Accommodation, food, phone signal, internet, transport to Kerang as required, meals with the family.
