Thoroughbred Horse Stud Scone
Welcome to Chatsworth Park! We are a family owned and operated Thoroughbred Farm located 4 kilometres from the township of Scone in the renowned horse area of the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. Its location makes it ideally suited to all the major Stallion Studs in the region.
Chatsworth Park comprises of two properties totalling 420 acres of rich alluvial soils set in a picturesque valley with an abundant water supply from the Dartbrook Creek. Both properties offer excellent facilities and are well appointed for mare reproduction, foaling, yearling preparation and spelling.
The expertise, experience and knowledge offered by the family and the highly qualified and dedicated professionals associated with the farm together with the quality feed and facilities assures our owners the perfect environment and the best of care and individual attention for their horses.
Situated at Scone in the New South Wales Hunter Valley, Chatsworth Park has been owned by the Justin family since 1991. In 2004 Chatsworth Park commenced operation as a Thoroughbred farm and during this time the operation has grown significantly with the focus being to offer thoroughbred breeders the highest level of care and service at affordable prices.
The stud proprietors Kym and Karen Justin, together with their children Ben, Kate and Heath are all involved with every aspect of the farm. Kym, Karen, Ben and Heath are hands on with the horses and manage the day to day operation of the farms. Kate assists on the farm during the foaling season and also helps out with the preparation of yearlings. Coming from rural and farming backgrounds the family have a depth of knowledge not only with livestock but also with the growing of hay and pastures. This together with industry experience both here and abroad enables them to use these skills for meeting their client’s needs and achieving the best results.
