Quarry and Processing Plant
Causmag is located in the picturesque rural town of Young in NSW. Young is located 365 km from Sydney and 160 km from Canberra.
We introduce ourselves as manufacturers of high grade Magnesium Oxide (Caustic Calcined Magnesia) for a wide range of applications. Our products under the CAUSMAG brand are used in industrial, environmental, pharmaceutical and agricultural applications. We have been serving customers reliably since 1952.
We have two operating sites. A quarry i.e. 40km outside Young in Thuddungra and a processing plant in town in Young, NSW.
Causmag International is a subsidiary of Orind Australia Pty. Ltd. has been mining and manufacturing high grade magnesium oxide products for use in agriculture, animal health, industrial and pharmaceutical processes, for over 60 years.
Causmag magnesium oxides are derived from high purity natural magnesites from our mining operations at Thuddungra near Young, NSW Australia. The magnesites are cryptocrystalline with small crystallite size – high density and very high purity.
Causmag magnesias are available in a wide range of particle size from granular to superfine powders. All products are packaged to the highest standards, providing maximum protection and positive grade identification.
Typical duties
Jobs we generally have available include:
*fixed plant operators for both sites,
*mechanical fitter
*electricians
*earth moving vehicle operator.
*heavy diesel mechanics who can work independently.
Jobs are generally offered as full-time permanent position and reports.
NOTE - Regarding 2nd visa's - it's important to check which working holiday visa the worker is using in Australia and if it is eligible for a 2nd visa based on the pay award (Mining Award) and the postcode of this location (2594).

Pay rate
Workers are generally paid according to the Mining Award Level 1, 2 & 3.

The team
We have 20-25 workers all in living in Young, NSW and surrounding areas.
Preferred attributes / requirements
Workers need to be hard working and quick to learn.
Workers need to be medium to high skilled with a trade background / skills / work experience.
Workers are required to have a white card prior to starting work.
A forklift licence is prefered (however the employer can assist workers in obtaining their forklife licence)
Accommodation
Accommodation - generally supplied in a company guest house (3 bedrooms).
Discuss with employer as this may changed depending on the season and staffing levels.
