station hand role
Start date: 24/07/2023
They will be working in the Early Weaning Program with the young cattle and driving tractors and feeding and looking after the general day to day care of the cattle.  There could possibly be some horse riding and two wheel motorbike riding and an opportunity to see how things work elsewhere on the station too.

Carlton Hill, outside of Kununurra has a hot climate so they will need to be prepared to work in some heat.  July Average is around 31 degrees, August is around 34 degrees.  And moving up to 36 degrees in September.  They will need to know what they will be working in.

Typical duties

Your Duties:
•Mowing/Whipper Snipping
•Watering / Fertilizing
•Pruning
•Potting/Planting
•Weed Management
•Other duties as required

Essential Criteria:
•Interest and/or experience in rural locations and the Outback
•Demonstrated passion for farming and enthusiasm to learn more
•Manual Drivers License
•Truck License (MR)
•Current basic first aid certificate
•Q-Fever vaccination

Physical Requirements

This is a physical job that can be physically demanding. You will need the ability to lift, or move up to 20 kilos and occasionally more. You will be expected to be able to bend, kneel, climb, lift, and grasp various items of equipment.
