Racehorse Training
Thoroughbred stud and racehorse trainer in Tasmania
Training racehorses in South Tasmania, Australia. Approx 35km from Hobart.
A family owned and operated business, on 200 acres with private tracks and access to a nearby training centre 2 days a week.
Servicing 40-50 Broodmares, and approx. 25 foals. Assisting with vet work every 2 days or so.
Brendan used to be a steeple chase rider in Ireland.
The Team
Walter 85 years old and active.
Brendan 55 years and boss
Harry 20 year old horse breaker/ foreman
Livv 22 years old 2 Ic
Annie 30 something years rides out and cardiac nurse by day!
Wayne 70+ groundsman
Mark 70 + groundsman
Roman 70 + stables cleaner
Typical duties
Riding out each day (18 horses) , stud and stable duties.
Living and Travel
Living arrangements will be with family on farm.
A friendly welcoming family, Brendan, his wife, and family, of 2 girls and his son who works with him.
Children also living at Broadmarsh are 19, 20 and 22 years old.
19 yr old is studying Ambulance training at uni. 20 yr old son works with me.
22 yr old is studying medicine in Tas.
