GENERAL INFO

Cotton, Grains and Pulses
Family farm consisting of 4 properties all close to Emerald.
3000 acres of irrigation and 1500 acres of dry land farming.
Cotton, sorghum, corn, chickpea, mung beans crops.
Modern GPD operated equipment.
Small team of staff managed by owner operator.
All aspects of cropping.
Typical duties
Initial duties will involve tractor work and irrigation.
Maintenance of machinery, workplace and living quarters.
Preference for interns.
Encourage staff to stay for 6 months (WHV) or 12 months for interns.
The Team:
There is a team of 3/4 workers plus the family, Peter, Catherine and their son and daughter.
Living
Provide your own food.
Cooking facilities and utensils provided.
Full mobile coverage / roaming or wireless laptops work.
Vehicle available for farm use only. Transport to town can be arranged.
Days off according to cropping schedule and hours worked.
5 kms to Emerald.
Travel
The home farm is situated 5 km north of Emerald, Queensland Central Highlands. Emerald has daily flights from Brisbane as well as several bus services from Rockhampton, Mackay and Longreach. Queensland Rail also has regular services. We are happy to collect anyone from these services.
