GENERAL INFO
(please note that this is general information and may not be specific to your role)
We are one of Australia's largest family-owned wineries and 13 largest exporters of wine. We have a number of vineyards in Northwestern Victoria as well as one in South Australia.
We also have a large acre mixed faming enterprise which grows a number of crops, wheat, barley, faba beans, corn, canola as well as running some sheep.
The mighty Murray River has long been a lifeline feeding a diverse range of farming and agribusiness pursuits across the southern Australian states of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia. Andrew Peace Wines is situated at Piangil, on the banks of this majestic river and our range of value for money wines for export and domestic markets display all of the bold, rich characteristics of our riverbank home.
Our vineyards take up over 270 ha, with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon making up our biggest plantings. The vineyard also includes, Chardonnay, Colombard, Crouchen, Gordo, Grenache, Malbec, Mataro, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Ruby Cabernet, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Tempranillo and Viognier. Our Sagrantino block is the largest of only a few in Australia and features in our flagship Australian Felix label.
In recent times we have begun to utilize the remaining land for cropping. Wheat, Barley, Canola and Corn have been grown as a dryland crop but are soon to be benefitted by the installation of subsurface irrigation.
Our other agricultural pursuits include pumpkins and a herd of goats and family of pigs which enjoy the grape marc spoils during harvest time.
Typical duties
Our vineyard needs staff for most of the year, tractor work, pruning, spraying and mechanical harvesting. Our cropping department also needs tractor drivers for sowing and harvest. Our maintenance department can always do with help welding or an mechanic.
Living

Public transport is minimal and we have some vehicles that workers can use but encourage them to have own transport. We are 30mins drive from nearest supermarket.
