CLEANING / COOK / GARDENING ROLE - AMMAROO STATION - MAY 2026
Seeking hard working and friendly female to help out with cleaning, gardening and cooking an evening meal for about four people starting beginning of June.
About the role
Meals and accommodation
Breakfast is self help, some items are prepared for packed lunches, packed lunches are made up, and an evening meal (often roast beef meals) is cooked 6 days per week.
Daily routine and other notes
Typical workday hours are start at 7am, with a break in the middle of the day, and an evening meal served at around 6.30-7pm. Work is expected to be about 38 hours (full time hours) per week over 5 or 6 days per week.
Tasks would be explained in person at a morning meeting and various lists and checklists are provided, however the worker will need to be willing and able to work on their own initiative as well as follow these guides, seeing what work needs to be done, moving with purpose from task to task during the working day.
The worker is expected to be responsible for their own productivity and pace of work through each day, and to be able to communicate back to the owners / managers as often as required in every day.
The role requires a degree of physical fitness and willingness to move actively and with self discipline, as the station complex requires a lot of walking from place to place.
The employer is happy for the worker to wear headphones / listen to music while working, so long as this remains safe and that the work is being done at a good pace.
English Speaking and Comprehension must be at a good level. Good understanding of tasks is essential, as is being able to report back and share information with the team.
This is a cheerful, friendly and supportive workplace. Workers are expected to join in and help out with communal tasks in and outside of work hours. The more you engage with the team and the activities of the property, the more fun, and the more other opportunities to experience the adventure and special outback environment are made available. This is more than just a 38h per week job - it is a lifestyle that requires full commitment to the team and the tasks, and it can be an immensely rewarding environment.
Pay
Starting pay rates are fair and are based initially on the pastoral award, and full time hours of 38 or more per week. No deduction is made for food and accommodation.
Tax is deducted at 15%, superannuation is paid at 12% and workcover are provided.
Commitment
A commitment of at least 3 months is required.
