GENERAL INFORMATION

Merino Sheep Stud and Cattle property


​General information about the property and the work environment 1600 acre property, 7 kms from Armidale and 15 kms from Uralla Work will be Monday to Friday 7.30 to 4.30
We run 3500 Poll Merinos and 120 Charolais Cattle.


This role: 
​ Junior Farm hand - sheep stud & cattle property.

A summary of your role or typical vacancy Station hand - Sheep and Cattle husbandry, drenching, lamb marking, shearing. At the moment lambing, fencing, general maintenance, feeding when necessary, 2 ram sales at beginning of February
  • ​Worker must be energetic and motivated and strong.
  • We are a leading merino and dohne stud operation and also have  commercial sheep and cattle enterprises.
  • We are seeking a person who is willing to learn the on farm technology associated with a modern sheep stud operation.
  • Must have very good English and drivers licence (preferably manual)


Typical duties
General farm worker, well established sheep property two weeks of sharing followed by fencing
and general farm duties after that.
Worker must be energetic and motivated and strong to join the family business based 10km from Armidale, NSW.

We are seeking a person who is willing to learn the on farm technology associated with a modern sheep stud operation. Must have very good English and drivers licence (preferably manual)
As well possessing knowledge and skills regarding general farm maintenance, animal husbandry, low stress stock handling, animal breeding and safe work practices.
Some tasks may include:
Mustering sheep or cattle with a side by side, sheep yard work including drenching, sheep work during shearing, wool rolling, may include some wo


Accommodation and Pay
Employer is willing to negotiate a remuneration package depending on level of previous experience. S
hared 3 bedroom cottage with Angus, 26 and maybe someone else or our Granny flat which is attached to the house.
