Summary
Yusei is 24 from Osaka in Japan

Yusei is a licensed veterinarian (completed his studies in 2026 in Osaka, Japan). His main areas of interest are equine and small animal clinical medicine.

During his studies he worked as a Racetrack Assistant for the Japanese Racing Association where he monitored stable areas, secured horses in high pressure situations. He gained further equine experience with his University Equestrian Club where he was responsible for daily horse care, health monitoring (in collaboration with vets) and training and exercising club horses and supervising junior club members.

He is eager to work with horses in Australia (if possible riding) and is keen to improve his English whilst learning valuable skills to help towards his future veterinary career.
He completed a 6-year veterinary program at Osaka Prefecture University and became a licensed veterinarian in Japan in early 2026.
His main areas of interest are equine and small animal clinical medicine.

Future plans - His goal is to improve his English language skills to communicate with effectively and support international pet owners and clients.

Been working a couple of weeks for a horse owner in Brisbane on a work for keep basis.
Volunteer work in Australia (2 weeks) June 2026
Assisted a small farm close to Brisbane feeding horses, mucking out stables and helping care for retired race horses.

JRA (Japan Racing Association) -
Assistant Stable Guard and Loose Horse Handler,
October 2020 - June 2024, part time (2 days per week- 7 hour days), paid.
Main duties: early mornings (from 5am)
stable surveillance, security, and catching/handling loose horses.
• Ensured racing integrity by monitoring stable areas.
• Secured loose horses during high-pressure situations.

Member of University Equestrian Club | Osaka Prefectural
University, April 2020 – September 2024
• Dedicated to daily horse care, including feeding, health monitoring, and stable maintenance for 4 years.
• Responsible for the training and exercise of club horses to maintain their fitness and performance levels. (retired race horses)
• Collaborated with veterinarians during routine check-ups and vaccinations for club horses.
•Some experience with taking blood, giving injections and medicine and help with simple surgeries.
• Supervised junior members in safe horse handling and basic stable protocols.

Hospitality worker - Fast Food burgers cafe - Japan -
