Summary
Danny is 30 and grew up in both USA & in rural Florence in Italy.
He is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences at Uni and is taking a break from studies to gain practical farm experience in Australia.
He has a background in customer service, including airport passenger assistance and front desk work at a Museum.
From a young age, Danny has worked with horses and his hands-on equine experience includes working as a groom and working student in Italy, with dressage, where he developed skills in horse care, stable management, tack work, and basic riding and dressage. He is almost finished his studies to become a Certified Equine Ergonomist with Saddlefit 4 Life.
He is passionate about working with horses and has a long term plan to diversify his skills and interested to learn (within a calm learning environment) about mixed farming with animals and developing his rural skills to eventually own his own farm in the future.
Education
Completing BSc in Natural Sciences.
Enlisted in 2015, currently in 10th year, working and studying for the past 7 years, with 6 exams and final dissertation remaining.
Taking a sabbatical to try a new experience.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Looking to start building the skill set needed in order to one day start his own mixed farm. He's keen to learn as many aspects of farming and practical knowledge and skills during his time in Australia.
