She worked on a grain and sheep farm, where she gained practical general farm experience. Her duties included assisting with sheep mustering from a distance by supporting livestock movement through paddocks, stick picking, and carrying out general maintenance tasks across the property. She regularly operated ATVs/quads for farm work and transportation around the paddocks. She also gained experience in sheep shearing and worked in shearing activities for one week.
She gained practical experience working in a rural farm environment, including operating ATVs/quads, performing physical outdoor tasks, and working across large areas of land. She improved her ability to work independently, follow instructions, and adapt to hands-on, physically demanding work. She also strengthened her work endurance, developed greater resilience, and became more confident working in a remote farm environment.

Opale loves farm life.
She grew up in rural (Southern) France for 15 years.
Her family owned a small farm where they had chickens, goats, dogs, birds, geese etc.
Her mother breeds dogs and cats.
They also grew Saffron (to sell commercially) where she helped with the very delicate job of harvesting the saffron threads. They had a large fruit orchard which she also worked in and they often went to market to sell their fruit and other produce.
Equine / equestrian
She rode a lot when younger - she took weekly horse riding lessons (with a little jumping) from Age 7-Age 12. More recently during Covid she rode horses again with lessons for 3 months (Age 15).
She would love to work with horses if given the opportunity.
Practical skills / trade skills
Some basic horticulture skills & caring for animals when working on her small family farm when younger. Refer to Farm section.
