Jens is from Norway, living and brought up on a small farm near Oslo.
He has trained and worked as a carpenter for the last 6 years.
Employment History
He trained as a carpenter in school, and has worked as a carpenter since 2019 in home renovations.
He lives on a farm where they focus on dairy and beef cattle, agriculture, crops and horses.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
To develop his English, live, work, learn, explore and gain new skills on large scale farms.
Very keen to work on a farm with cattle and horses as well as gain tractor / machinery operation skills.
FARM AND WORKPLACE SKILLS
Farm / Livestock
Born and raised on the family farm.
Has experience of day-to-day farm tasks all his life, including various crops (hay making & wheat), sheep, chickens and horses.
Equine / equestrian
Has assisted with feeding, grooming, stable cleaning, and general care.
From the age 9, he attended a riding school for three years, where I developed confidence and solid foundational riding skills.
Since then, he’s continued riding when needed – both for practical tasks and personal interest.
Also has experience driving horses with a carriage and have taken part in work-related activities where horses were used for transport and labour.
Has a strong understanding of horse behaviour, a calm and reliable approach to handling animals, and the ability to work independently and responsibly around them.
Practical skills / trade skills
A trained carpenter (6 years), familiar with all hand tools, power tools, small construction vehicles etc.
Has experience with outdoor maintenance tasks, including chainsaw use, lawn mowing, clearing branches, and operating a brush cutter.

Full driving licence for 7 years. Familiar with tracroe, buggy, quad and 2 wheel bikes, and also used to driving with trailers

Able to cook and care for himself. Enjoys cooking, and preparing food from hunting.
Hobbies, other skills and interests: cheerleading coach (competed in the national team).
Has worked as a cheer leading coach in his free time. Also enjoys hunting and going to the gym.
