BACK AT HOME
Ethan is from the valleys of South Wales.
He has completed practical apprenticeships in railway maintenance and electrical infrastructure and groundworks, and worked in these fields for 5 years, nearly all of it with one company in a team of 15.
He completed high school, and had hoped to join the UK Royal Air Force.
Employment History
His employment history has included a 12 week internship on railway maintenance crews, and then 5 years work (including an internship) for a civil construction contractor company.
This has included work (as part of a team) on pavements, culverts, electrical wiring / substation installations, tarmac roads, children's play areas etc.
Alongside this he has worked part time for the last 5 years in his football club as barman and bar manager.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
To gain skills in new areas, experience new environments, and ideally develop the ability to work in different fields such as agriculture. Very keen to gain and learn new skills.
FARM AND WORKPLACE SKILLS
Farm / Livestock
No previous experience of livestock, but has always had an interest in farming and is keen to find a way into it if possible.
Practical skills / trade skills
His practical skills includes construction equipment, maintenance equipment and earthworks, from manual work with picks and shovels to disc cutters, impact wrenches, kango hammers, drills, whacker plates, compactors, trench rammers etc.
OTHER GENERAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence for 3 years, and construction site experience including 3t dumper trucks, 1.5 and 3t 360 degree excavators, dumpers, excavators, rollers and manual road cars. Confident around machinery, and he enjoys it.
He has also regularly driven work cans towing trainers with mini excavators and other machinery.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc

4+ years part time experience as a barman / all rounder at his local football club.
