Bertille is from Northern France, near Dunkirk.
 
Summary
She is currently an agricultural engineering student and is here in Australia for three months complete a paid work placement, before returning to France to continue her studies. She has also completed two years of study at vet school, and prior to that two years gaining a national diploma in animal production. production.
She has a special interest in comparing beef production between Australia and France, genetics, and has experience / interest in Limousin, Charolais bull / breeding. 
 
Motivation here in Australia
Her motivation is to add knowledge and skills to add value to her agricultural career. Hoping to work in a beef breeding operation, and ideally where horses are also included. But she is very flexible so long as she is learning and the learning is related to her career and her course.

She has completed various paid and volunteer work experience placements
2019-21 - Dairy farms, milking and machinery operation – 2 summers – as part of her studies through a large Agricultural co-op.
2019-23 - Annual Summer roles in Alpine refuge and dairy farm, (last 4 years)
2024 - 3 months work experience internship, Ireland, beef and sheep
 
Livestock handling: dairy cows, suckler cows, and sheep
Daily tasks: feeding, milking, herding, calf care
Use of basic farm equipment and machinery (e.g. tractor)Claas, manure spreader, windrower, grass cutting and haymaking
Basic fencing and pasture maintenance
General outdoor farm cleaning and manual work
Comfortable with long hours and physical labor in rural settings
 
Driving and Farm vehicles
Full driving licence, seven years, manual and automatic

Horses
Has been a horse rider since age 10, typically riding four hours a week, training local stables for competitions in showjumping, dressage and cross-country. (competing in 2018-20)

violin player, loves music and all sports. Skiing, running bicycling, spends a lot of spare time riding horses.
