1. Wellington NSW:
I worked the first half of the job in Wellington. This was a smaller farm of about 2700 acres. Work here mainly revolved around finishing the lambs that came from the larger property in QLD and preparing the property for a manager.
Main tasks:
- mustering (alone and with farmer & work dogs) (4 wheelers & 2 wheelers)
- drenching, lamb marking, - drafting (working the drafting gate & pushing up the race), dipping, backlining, - fencing, weed spraying, baiting, yard maintenance, demolishing old sheds, cattle mustering, ringing calves
2. Cunnamulla QLD:
The second half of the job took place on the larger property in Cunnamulla. This property was about 80.000 acres. The work here varied more depending on the time of the year.
Main tasks:
- mustering, fencing, swinging gates, cutting pipes for end assemblies, demolishing old sheds, back lining, lamb marking, wool pressing and packing bales, wild goat mustering, minor servicing on cars and motorcycles
