Since leaving school she has completed two agriculture related fields of study at a trade college including:
Level 2 certificate, stable hand.
Level 3 certificate, sheep and beef.

Extensive experience working in agriculture jobs including dairy sheep in NZ, beef cattle & horses
JOB 1 - Ralph thoroughbreds/racing stable - stable hand, March 2021- September 2021, Weekdays after school and Sundays, Main duties included mucking out, making up feeds, covering horses
JOB 2 - Sanders racing stables- Stable hand, January 2022-June 2022, full time weekdays.
Main duties also included saddling horses, hosing horses, taking horses to vet and farrier, animal health
JOB 3 - Primavera farms- milking 1000 ewes twice daily, farmhand/sheep milker/lamb rearer, July 2022- recent. Full time. Main duties include milking sheep, animal health, break fencing, moving sheep, feeding lambs, etc.
During the gap between working at the two racing stables she moved to Auckland to Study at the NZ Equine Academy to get her level 2 stable hand certificate and did work experience during this time at two more racing stables and a equine stud farm.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Mustering, driving manual vehicles, working with livestock on horse back, meeting new people and having adventures. Also to experience working in an environment where horses are used for farming. To gain skills and knowledge from a different industry that will help grow and become a better farmer and horseperson.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
Very experienced in rural work particulary with sheep, cattle and horses. Has experience moving stock, setting up fences, driving quad bikes and side by sides, rearing lambs, milking sheep, treating animal health issues and prevention practices (e.g shearing, drenching, foot trimming) and riding horses.
Equine / equestrian
Intermediate - Has been riding since age 16 with her own bush pony, mainly for fun, rode around the farms, hills, river swimming etc. Is more of a cautious rider but once she knows the horse and terrain she is capable and confident. Ground work with horses - is confident catching and handling horses from the ground. Has
worked a lot in stable and around horses.
Driving & vehicles
Licence (AUTO only) - confident driver for 5 years and currenlty has her restricted NZ licence. Is aiming to get her manual licence asap. Other vehicles include - Side by side, using everyday to shift sheep, set up fences, this is the main vehicle they use on the sheep farm, also some quad bike exp.
