Matteo is from France, close to Paris.
He completed high school, and gained a baccalaureate qualification in sales, in which he did very well. He spent 10 months at university which did not suit him; at this stage in his life he wants to get out into the world and be working.
Employment History
Since finishing university he has worked for 10 months as a business development manager for a debt recovery business, one year full-time as a butcher, and one year full-time for a gym and fitness training organisation.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
His motivation here is simply to gain new experiences and new skills. He is open for every experience. He is especially keen to work in an equine environment.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
He has basic experience of farm work from his childhood; he's been helping grandparents on their small farm in Portugal in the fields, picking and planting, feeding animals (Chickens, rabbits, donkeys, and horses). and fruit and veg harvest work. .
Equine / equestrian
Took riding lessons age 13 to 15, which he really enjoyed. Beginner level rider, knows how to be safe around horses, has some experience of basic stable work duties. Very keen to do more if the opportunity arises.
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence, manual and automatic for four years. Loves to drive, confident all round driver with experience of 4x4, quad bikes, and approximately 10 hours of 250cc motocross
Practical skills / trade skills
No particular practical experience, but knows himself to enjoy practical tasks such as painting, fixing, mending etc.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Can cook well for himself, enjoys cooking.
Some childcare experience with extended family, enjoys looking after children.
Hospitality and customer service
Sports, hiking, and watching movie.
Hobbies, other skills and interests
Enjoys various sports, loves being in the outdoors and hiking. Also a very keen chess player.
