She has completed a three-year undergraduate degree in environmental studies at Stellenbosch University and plans to complete a Masters in urban planning at Galway University in Ireland in September 2025.
Megan is not yet completely sure of her career path but is certain that it will be in some branch of environment or built environment.
Employment History
Her work history includes part-time work throughout her studies, at a sushi restaurant and also at a Lebanese restaurant.
She has volunteered for a time at a game reserve in South Africa. Main duties included fixing broken infrastructure such as fences, management of weeds, some involvement in animal conservation work (observing elephant behaviour, trap & track leopards, monitoring rhinos). She thoroughly enjoyed this experience; she discovered a practical side to her character that had not previously had much opportunity to emerge.

Taking down fences, weeding, cleaning vehicles.
Equine / equestrian
A beginner level rider a beginner level rider, she has some riding experience but has not ridden a horse for the last four years. No stable experience either, but extremely keen to work with horses and very willing to learn if the opportunity arises.
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence full driving licence for five years, manual driving almost every day. Confident driver.
Practical skills / trade skills
Taking down fences, weeding, clearing land, maintaining/ caring for vehicles. Game reserve work.
Duke of Edinburgh's awards.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Used to cooking for herself and friends, and sometimes for her family when at home. Considers herself a confident cook. Several experiences of babysitting for family friends and looking after younger cousins. Enjoy spending time with children, reliable and safe with younger ones and capable of controlling all the children if needs be.
Hospitality and customer service
2 years experience experience working in hospitality. Good with customers, experience of all day-to-day duties in café's, restaurants and basic kitchen duties .
Hobbies, other skills and interests
Enjoys running; she has run several half marathons and one full marathon. Otherwise enjoys hiking, camping and any other outdoors activities.
