Steef is from Holland.
He has completed high school and taken a further internship qualification with the military in transport and
logistics for 2.5 years.
He has also taken various training modules in plant physiology, practical leadership, result oriented
management, goal oriented leadership, effective communication.
Employment History
Steef started work during high school, and has worked in horticultural glasshouses since then.
2014-2021 - 7 years of working in a tomato greenhouse during holidays from school and during the weekends.
2021-25 - 3 years of full time work in a greenhouse for young plants (vegetables and ornamentals).
In this role he operates various machines and leads other staff, and in some activities he is responsible for up
to 100 people.
A lot of his job is maintenance in and around greenhouses.
2010-present - He is also periodically working at the flower export company of his father, whenever workload
requires additional help. He has done this on and off throughout his life, assisting with order picking, packing,
cleaning and any other help required.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Steef has significant experience of horticultural work in greenhouses, and all that comes with that.
He is keen to extend his experience to other crops, whether fruit, nuts or vegetables, Broadacre crops, or
livestock. His motivation here in Australia is to extend his skills and experiences into different agricultural
sectors.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Equine
Very basic initial riding experience. Beginner level rider. He enjoys being around animals and is very keen to
learn
Driving & vehicles
Steve has a full driving licence for automatic and manual for 8 years, forklift driving licence (6 years)
he has operated various other smaller agricultural site vehicles around greenhouses from time to time.
He is a confident and experienced driver. Small experience on a quad bike.
Practical skills / trade skills
Steef has worked on his feet and with his hands for the last eight years. He is fit, active and practical and is
experience with doing and leading all practical tasks in this work environment. This has included forklift
operation and container packing is a frequent part of the role.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Can cook well for himself, family and friends.
Hobbies, other skills and interests
Steef is into endurance sports, particularly running and triathlon. He has run several marathons and a 100 km
race. He goes to the gym, and has played soccer since age 3.

to other staff. Friendly and sociable, enjoys a laugh but capable of being serious when required.
