Her aim is to work gain skills of a different type in a new area of work. Her good friend Evie has introduced her to the basics of working with horses, and she is now very motivated to work in this field, ideally in the same place as Evie.

Equine / equestrian
no particular experience of farm life, but she has spent the last four months getting prepared for work with horses in the thoroughbred industry by working with her friend Evie with Evies horses.
This has included basic riding, grooming, knowing how to approach and halter horses, walking them, feeding them, checking and cleaning the stables. Still at beginner level but she has discovered that she really enjoys this and is very keen to learn more. She is tall and strong, and has a good presence with horses.
Driving & vehicles
Kaat has an automatic and manual licence for seven years. She has been driving professionally for the last three years in small trucks (normal car licence) and considers herself a safe competent driver in a variety of vehicles. She will be very happy for opportunities to extend her driving skills into other scenarios.
Has a licence and some experience for driving horse trailers, as does Evi.
Practical skills / trade skills
No particular specialised practical skills, some knowledge and experience of basic maintenance of engines and vehicles. Very keen to learn more, and to extend her experience into vehicle maintenance and workshop tasks. She enjoys being a competent girl in a predominantly male environment.
