WORK IN AUS
Evi first came to Australia with VisitOz Workers in January 2023.
She worked initially for 3 ½ months at Baramul Stud, working with broodmares.
She worked for a short period at a second stud, working with the pretraining horses, before then moving to Godolphin Woodlands for a further 3.5 months, working initially with the foals but then switching to the yearlings.
She has returned to Australia with her friend Kaat, and they are hoping to work together in an equine or equestrian role. Kaat is relatively inexperienced however she has been introduced to work with horses by Evi which she has greatly enjoyed and she is looking forward to extending her work experience and skill in this sector.
Back Home
Evi is from Holland. She is a horse owner and a very keen horsewoman.
She has returned to Australia for a second Visa year with her friend Kaat, and they are keen to work together in a role that will allow Kaat to gain her 2nd visa.
Employment History
Prior to coming to Australia Evi worked in a Covid administration role for the Dutch govt.
She has also had regular work in a butchery since age 14 (a family business), involving preparing and handling food, as well as customer service.
Other job experiences are hospitality work at a holiday park, as a job recruiter, customer sales representative, coffee barista and waitress.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Aims to continue to improve her skill and experience around horses, on the ground and in the saddle.
She is very keen to work with her friend Kaat so that they can continue to learn to work in equine roles here in Australia, together. Keen to work in a friendly encouraging environment; ready to work hard and learn.
I would like to either work in another stud with yearlings or expecting mares and newborn foals. I would also like to work at another stable that is not focused on breeding/training race horses. I’m also highly interested in dressage, showjumping, polo or riding stables. If there is a possibility to ride in your own time it would be a great +
