Liberty is from the countryside in Monmouthshire, SE Wales, UK
She studied at sixth form college focused on environmental science, biology and ethics.
She has some experience with horses / riding, and is passionate about motorbikes.
She plans to spend the next two years in Australia hoping to gain experience on motorbikes and driving trucks, getting licences for both of those, and ultimately hopes to end up working doing FIFO work in the mines.
Employment History
Liberty has worked part-time alongside her studies for the last four years.
This includes bar, waitress and kitchen work at a country pub , barista and food service at three different café’s at different times which included responsibility across different stores and for training new employees.
mostly as a barista (3 years)
She also worked part-time at a steel yard doing some of the welding prep work.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Her aims are to work in a farm to build up general farm work skills, including motorbikes, vehicles, infrastructure and vehicle maintenance and livestock work. She hopes to get motorbike and truck driving licences and ultimately would like to find a path to working FIFO at some stage in the next two years.
Keen to learn to weld, learn to work around animals, use motorbikes really well farm work.
Personally she would like to gain confidence and assertiveness.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
Liberty lives in the countryside surrounded by farms. She has helped out local farms from time to time, particularly when young piglets were born, but also with small numbers of cattle, moving them and feeding out, as well as helping with basic tasks such as moving hay bales, cleaning stables, cleaning water troughs etc.
Equine / equestrian
considers herself an intermediate level rider.
She spent much of her childhood riding English style, helping out at the local stables. She has ridden approximate five hours per week from age 6 until age 15, and this included competing in local showjumping and cross-country competitions. Enjoys being around horses.
She was taught that if you’re the rider you should also be the carer’s overall the years she rode she was responsible for grooming, mucking out, cleaning tack, feeding etc.
Driving & vehicles
driving licence, manual and automatic for two years.
Also has experience of driving trial and street bikes (approx. 55 hours) and quad bike/ATV
Practical skills / trade skills
enjoys shooting with a bow and arrow.
Has basic welding skills (TIG / MIG) basic motorbike repair skills, some experience of grinding and preparation for welding work, a little milling.
She is also a seamstress and enjoys repairing clothing.

she enjoys cooking. She has had part-time work in kitchens as well as cooking for herself and her family at home. She particularly enjoys baking.
