2024 - at the same time as his job at the shooting ground he worked part-time for a garden maintenance company – ‘My role covers commercial garden work including grass cutting hedge trimming, tree cutting, weeding and general garden maintenance’
2024 - at the same time he worked part-time for a property company as a painter and decorator- my role consists of painting walls, repairing and cleaning rooms.
2023- a short period of work experience at an estate agents
2024-25 – general assistant labourer in a construction, maintenance role for a rental housing company
At School he was a member of the cadet force, with leadership responsibilities, and also a member of the of Edinburgh awards teams. He has a number of LAMDA (School of drama and art) qualifications in public speaking.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
His aims here in Australia are to gain more practical work experience in a variety of different environments, in particular to gain experience with livestock and farm machinery which he intends to use to develop his career.
He has been offered the opportunity to work on a cattle property in Montana next year, so is hoping to build up skills and experience to help with that.

No particular farm experience so far, but he is experienced in general manual work, grounds and garden maintenance.
Equine / equestrian
He considers himself a competent beginner level rider, having ridden regularly through his childhood. He has been able to ride comfortably at all speeds but has not ridden for the last five years. Some experience of stable work and handling horses from the ground. He really enjoyed this and is keen to do more.
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence for one year, confident manual driver.
Has ridden dirtbikes since age 7, for fun, on a family property. He has also driven small flatbed trucks delivering building materials, with lots of loading and unloading bricks etc.

Considers himself practical, has used a variety of hand and power as well as using small site machiner, in particular ride on mowers / and small garden tractors.
