she completed a two-year training as a chef followed by four-year training as a para-veterinary, followed by a two-year degree course in dairy farming.
She is a hard worker and has been employed at every opportunity, often holding onto more jobs at any one time. She is considering plans to have her own sheep farm in the future, but at this stage her aim is to get as much experience as possible in different agricultural sectors.

‘I have a lot of experience working with dairy cows and calves, but also some experience with sheep. Been working in dairy farming for about 5 years now. Here I mainly take care of calves, feeding, ear tagging, drenching, weighing, weaning, making diagnosis, giving medication if necessary, vaccinating, etc. I also have experience at a donkey shelter and 2 different sheep farms, including dairy sheep. In addition to working among the animals, I also worked in the kitchen at a restaurant for more than 2 years.’
Equine / equestrian
Baukje is a beginner level rider. She has picked up some experience of stable work and of riding along the way, and is obviously familiar and comfortable around larger animals. Open to working with horses as and when required but her main focus is to work with beef cattle at this time.
Driving & vehicles
Nine years driving experience, manual and automatic.
Significant experience of quad bike/atv, farm buggies, tractors, 4x4 and ute, plus jcb tele-handler
she is very keen to develop her two wheel motorbike skills
