Aims and Motivations here in Australia
To expand her knowledge, skills and gain knowledge and practical work experience in as many aspects of equine work as possible. Very interested in sport and performance horses and also Western riding.
Back Home
Nova attended a and agricultural focused high school specialised in equine. This was a three-year work-study program so she spent a lot of time at a riding school getting practical experience.
She has considered becoming a teacher, and also working professionally with horses, but at this stage she is undecided. Her aim here in Australia is to gain practical work experiences and learn as much as possible about different aspects of work with horses.
Employment History
2018 and 2019 - Summer job as general assistant at my riding school.
2021 - A three week summer job in her community recreational centre, renting canoes, selling ice cream and taking care of the building and surrounding area.
February 2023 - September 2023
Weekend staff at Örebro Fältrittklubb (a big riding school, 70 horses ). Duties include stable work, horse care and preparation and various ongoing maintenance.
June 2024 - September 2024
Health and social care services rile doing home visits and general assistance for the elderly. Part time, ca 34h per week.
August 2024 - December 2024
part-time work as a riding instructor at Herminge Ridskola, where she completed much of her work-study program. She has been leading groups of children and adult beginners , leading hacks out in the fields, an assistant at riding camps and a substitute all-rounder as required. Typically 10 to 13 hours per week.
August 2024 - January 2025
Along side my work as a riding instructor I have worked as a substitute teacher at Änglanda skola. At Änglanda skolan I have been working with children from 6 to 12 years old, working as a substitute teacher in a classroom assistant. Up to 32 hours per week.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
Basic farm experience and knowledge; she comes from the countryside and has been brought up around horses, so equine is her main focus.
Equine / equestrian
Advanced horse rider. Keen and competent horsewoman. Her education has given her a qualification as a certified groom.
Has been riding since age 9, riding for different riding schools. She owned her own lease horse, and regularly spend seven days a week at the riding school.
Has taken part in low-grade dressage and jumping competitions along the way but she prefers the horse care and groundwork aspects.
She has done a lot of stable work, is familiar with all day-to-day tasks , mucking out grooming, feeding et cetera and particularly enjoys groundwork, lunging and other training activities. This has included arena surface preparation using a quad bike. Very keen to do a lot more of this while here in Australia.
Her objective is to get as much experience of all aspects of horse care, training and breeding as well as performance riding.
Driving & vehicles
Full driving licence for two years, Manual + auto.
Can drive tractor and Ute. Approximately 50 hours of quad bikes, including arena preparation, a few hours of wheel loader and small tractor driving.
Practical skills / trade skills
Considers herself practical and handy with practical tasks. She is used to fixing and mending things around the stables, and learns most practical tasks quickly. Not afraid getting dirty !
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Enjoys cooking, capable cook for herself, friends and family.
Has a lot of work experience with children and adults of all ages. Enjoys customer service, socialising and leading activities.
Hospitality and customer service
No particular experience of hospitality work but is used to customer facing roles and really enjoys interaction with other people.
Hobbies, other skills and interests
She really enjoys fitness - CrossFit, and reading. She also likes running, hiking, to cook and music.
Her main hobby and passion is horses.
Personal
Excellent English, well mannered, socially engaging and pleasant manner, and a lively and fun sense of humour

Fit, mobile, energetic and active. Enjoys keeping herself it, used to working on her feet and also spending a good amount of time in the saddle., 178cm & 63kg
