Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Alex's motivation is to gain all-round experience of livestock and crop agriculture. And general farm maintenance / vehicle operation. His aim is to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge and career in agriculture and agricultural machinery servicing.
Back Home
Alex is from the cropping area of central Sweden.
He he completed a three-year training in carpentry in a vocational college work-study programme, and has been working continuously since then. he has become increasingly interested in agricultural machinery and all aspects of agriculture, whether cropping or livestock.
His aim and motivation here in Australia is to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible in all agricultural sectors.
Employment History
He has gain work experience in house construction, as a ski lift attendant, as an assembler as an agricultural scenery manufacturer, (3 years) all becoming a production technician at the same company (1y). For the last year he has worked as a service technician and mechanic at a CLAAS maintenance and servicing dealership.
Age 18 - carpenter in house construction, one year
Age 19 - Lift Guard at a ski resort in central Sweden, five months
Age 20 - Assembler at Vaderstad AB, Assembling high-speed planters.three years
Age 23 - Production Technician at Vaderstad AB. one year
Age 24 - present - Service Technician/Mechanic at CLAAS, one year.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
He does not have any experience working with any animals but would love to learn.
Equine / equestrian
he has a little light experience of helping with stable work.
Very open to working in an equine environment.
Driving & vehicles
Full manual driving licence, seven years.
an experienced motorbike enthusiast, owns a KTM 250, ATV experience and experience of driving various tractors, combines, forklifts, telescopic loaders and other machinery, but in a workshop setting rather than operational in the paddocks.
Practical skills / trade skills
He is a trained carpenter with house construction experience.
He is a skilled and experienced agricultural machinery mechanic.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Can cook for himself and has experience of looking after 6 siblings.
Hospitality and customer service
some experience of customer service from his mechanic roles but also from the seasonal work in a ski resort.
Hobbies, other skills and interests
His hobbies are working on anything that has an engine.
Loves doing some weird project with some friends in the garage !
Also loves riding dirt bikes.
