Erika is from central Sweden, the area to the south of the capital city, Stockholm
She completed high school with a focus on nature and adventure tourism, followed by 1.5 years further study in tourism and outdoor activities.
Employment History
She has a wide ranging employment history which has included Guiding, farming, animal keeper, zoo educator and guide (outdoor activities, wildlife and nature).
She also completed nine months military service as an ambulance driver (large 16 ton four-wheel-drive trucks) and became qualified as a military nurse. She remains as a reserve soldier.
-four years part-time summer work as an animal keeper and wildlife guide at a wildlife park
-seasonal employment is a dogsledding guide in central Sweden
-head waitress and receptionist at a golf and nature resort in Sweden
-guide and receptionist at a nature hotel and ecotourism / adventures company
-guide and educator at a conservation zoo and wildlife Park in South Africa
- internships with various nature and adventure organisations including horse backfield guiding in South Africa and marine mammal conservation, also in South Africa, national parks in India focused on big cats and youth education in a small village school in Bhutan.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
She grew up on a farm with horses cows chickens cats dogs and pigs, but in particular breeding border Terrier dogs. At school she completed work experience internship in farming with cows, sheep, horses and chickens which led to her first job at a wildlife park.
Equine / equestrian
Erica has been brought up around horses and has been riding since a young child. Riding was a major hobby in her early teenage years, but she has not ridden much for the last five years. Describes herself as an intermediate level rider, but confident in her ability to apply herself and learn even though she is currently out of practice.
Familiar with stable / stall / shed / barn work for a variety of animals. Fully aware of the need to do the basic duties of cleaning sweeping et cetera and doing them well.
Driving & vehicles
Manual driving licence since 2018 (six years) full manual, licence.
Can also drive tractor and has a military truck licence.
Other certifications and driving license: ATW (four-wheeler) and chainsaw.
Practical skills / trade skills
Certified Nature guide, extensive knowledge in field first aid in and general wilderness knowledge, experience from working with many different animals in farm, zoo and wildlife park. Certificate of qualifications within several outdoor adventure activities (paddling, skiing, hiking, climbing, mountain bike, dog sledding etc.)
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Enjoys cooking for herself and friends at a purely practical level.
Has been working a lot with children of different ages as football and gymnastics coach, and loves to be with around children.

Experienced in front of customers as a tour and adventure guide, whether dogsledding, clamping, zoo education or working in a hotel reception. She has always been focused on giving guests a great experience, but also has some experience of events.
