WORK IN AUS
Anne has completed a few weeks work on a cattle property in southern NSW in the run up to Christmas.
It was not quite the right fit, but not because of any fault of either Anne or the employer.
Aims and Motivations here in Australia
Keen to experience how Australian farmers do things, in particular cattle and arable farming, to add skills and perspective to her farm career on the family farm back home.

Completed high school in 2021
Graduated from University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Agriculture and Economics.
Studies included working with agriculture machinery, cropping with wheat, corn, beans and livestock
Future plans to work on her family farm and take over the business in the future, the main focus is to remain in the agriculture industry.
Employment History
2017 to 2021 – Pharmacy worker, employee receiving goods, data maintenance, processing and checking invoices and courier service (4 hours per week)
2017 to 2024 – Waitress & customer service for a German restaurant preparing the service and checking in of hotel guests. Part-time
2022 (7 weeks)– Dairy farm worker at a dairy farm – working in the barn the milking, cows giving birth, and initial care of the calves (40-45 hours / week)
2023 (12 weeks) - Dairy farm worker at a dairy farm (differnt from the first farm) – working in the barn the milking, cows giving birth, and initial care of the calves, pasture control & field work (45 hours / week)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Farm / Livestock
Whilst working in different internships and various training courses, she gained experience with dehorning calves, hoof care for cows and handling pesticides. Her family owns a farm where they keep bulls for fattening and also do arable farming. She has been helping out there since she was a child, so she's familiar with tasks such as tilling the soil, harvesting maize and grain and looking after the animals. Through various internships, she has also worked on other farms where she was able to gain insights, especially into the dairy cattle sector. She is currently completing a degree in agricultural economics, which also gives her a good basic knowledge of agriculture. After her time in Australia, she will join the family farm and take it over in the future.
Equine / equestrian
Novice rider. As a child she had riding lessons for a few years. Is keen to get back into it again.
Driving & vehicles
Manual + auto since 2018. Has driven tractors since 2020.
Has also driven tele-handlers and front loaders
Practical skills / trade skills
She is familiar with some mechanical basic skills on the farm, including grinding, greasing of machinery and repairing fences.
Domestic, cook and childcare etc
Cook's wealth herself family and friends also has helped in the kitchen of the restaurant where she used to work
Has helped with children within her family.
Hospitality and customer service
Worked part-time as a great interest in a restaurant
Hobbies, other skills and interests
Enjoys volleyball, coached a youth volleyball team for six months, plays the piano, does handicrafts and crocheting, cooking with friends and family and spending time with her dog. It is also active in the rural youth country organisation and enjoys taking part in campaigns such as 'rent a farmer' campaign in Germany.
Personal
Very good English, and open-minded people person who enjoys working within a team, is very reliable and responsible, and very adaptive to learn new things, she is ambitious and always tries her best.
